Through regular conversations, employee surveys and monthly forums, we are continuously building on the foundations of our culture.
We take work/life balance and wellbeing very seriously. That’s why every team member has access to mental health awareness resources, trained mental health first aiders and regular meetings with their managers, where wellbeing can be discussed. We also offer flexible, hybrid working and resources that support various aspects of wellbeing, including exercise, meditation and sleep.
Every team member has a say in how IWSR is run. Feedback from our quarterly people survey is reviewed at board level and shared at our monthly company-wide CEO updates.
Many changes have been made following survey feedback. This includes ‘work from anywhere’ weeks, CPD training, IT upgrades, a cycling scheme, social events, charity support days and team activities.
Protecting our planet matters, and we all need to do our bit. IWSR has developed a programme of information and activities to help our people make sustainable choices at home and work. We also work with our suppliers to meet higher sustainability standards.
Our ‘Green Team’ are working alongside external consultants to support our path towards carbon neutrality by 2040, and to help us make smart choices along the way.
IWSR is keen to play its part in our local communities. Everyone is given two days paid annual leave to volunteer for charities of their choice. We also support our staff in their fundraising activities.
Every year, we offer student placements of either 3 months, or up to a full academic year as part of a degree or postgraduate course. Our interns are welcomed as part of the team, learning about our business and building practical, transferrable skills. IWSR has an excellent track record, with the majority of interns going on to full time employment.
